Highly threatened due to habitat loss and pet trade. International trade banned under CITES.

Pesquet”s parrot (Psittrichas fulgidus)

Also called the Dracula parrot, found in new guinea. Vulnerable species, banned from trade and pet ownership.

Lear’s macaw (Anodorhynchus leari)

Endangered and native to brazil. International trade prohibited to protect wild populations.

Spix’s macaw (Cyanopsitta spixii)

Critically, endangered and possibly extinct in the wild. Strictly banned from trade to protect remaining individuals.

Kakapo (Strigops habroptila)

A nocturnal, flightless parrot from new Zealand. Protected by law and not allowed as pets.

Palm cockatoo (Probosciger aterrimus)

Native to new guinea and Australia’s cape York. Trade is banned under CITES appendix.
