Step 1:

Rinse and peel 2 medium sized onions, and the thinner you slice it will be that tasty.

Then sprinkle some salt over the sliced onions, mix them and then let it sit for over 10 minutes.

Step 3:

Now, squeeze the excess water from the onion rings so that the achaar is crispy, not soggy.

Step 4:

Then add chill powder, turmeric, and mustard seeds, and if you want it spicier, add green chili as well.

Step 5:

Gradually add two tablespoon of vinegar and one tablespoon of sugar, then stir it well.

Step 6:

Then prepare the tadka by heating 2 tablespoon of mustard oil in a pan and immediately pour it over spiced onions for enhanced taste and aroma.

Step 7:

Your tasty onion achaar is ready, serve it with your meal and enjoy.
