Kawasaki has officially launched the 2025 Z900 in India, priced at Rs. 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest iteration of the popular street-naked motorcycle comes with a host of feature upgrades, design enhancements and an enhaced powertrain, making it a stronger value proposition than before.
The updated Z900 carries forward Kawasaki’s aggressive ‘Sugomi’ styling philosophy but with a sharper and more modern edge. Key design highlights include a new LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank with well-integrated extensions, and a redesigned tail section featuring a sleek LED tail light.
In terms of equipment, the 2025 Z900 now features a full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The electronics package has also been significantly improved with the addition of two power modes, multiple ride modes, IMU-assisted cornering ABS, and traction control — offering enhanced safety and better control in varying conditions. The bike also gets a bi-directional quickshifter and cruise control as part of the new feature set.
At its heart, the motorcycle continues to be powered by a 948cc, inline four-cylinder engine. Now compliant with the latest emission norms, the motor delivers 123 bhp and 97.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Underpinning the Z900 is a steel trellis frame suspended on fully adjustable USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop Sportmax tyres. Braking is handled by dual front discs and a single disc at the rear.
Bookings for the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 are now open across dealerships, with deliveries expected to begin shortly. The motorcycle will rival the Triumph Street Triple R in the Indian market, which carries a price tag of Rs. 10.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
