Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has launched the 2025 edition of its sporty scooter, the Suzuki Avenis, in the Indian market. The latest update brings with it an OBD-2B-compliant engine, refreshed colour options, and a range of practical features, with a starting price of Rs 91,400 (ex-showroom).
The biggest update lies under the bodywork—a 124.3 cc single-cylinder aluminium engine that now meets the latest OBD-2B emission regulations. This engine delivers 8.5 hp at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Suzuki claims that the engine benefits from its Eco Performance technology, balancing power output with fuel efficiency.
Design-wise, the scooter retains its sporty silhouette and comes loaded with features, including a fully digital instrument cluster. The screen offers essential ride data such as battery voltage, oil change indicator, engine temperature, dual trip meters, digital clock, fuel consumption data, and an eco-mode indicator.
Suzuki has also introduced four new dual-tone colour combinations to enhance the scooter’s visual appeal:
- Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Glacier White
- Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Mira Red
- Champion Yellow No. 2 / Glossy Sparkle Black
- Glossy Sparkle Black
In terms of convenience and utility, the 2025 Suzuki Avenis packs in:
- LED lighting system
- Suzuki Easy Start System with integrated engine start/stop switch
- Side stand interlock, step seat, split grab rails
- Long and wide floorboard for added comfort
- Front storage box with USB charging port, front rack, and 21.8L under-seat storage
- One-push central locking, shuttered key system, and external hinge-type fuel cap
The refreshed Avenis enters a competitive 125 cc scooter market in India, now better equipped to meet regulatory standards while offering added value to urban commuters.
