3 boys drown in farm pond in Belagavi


Three boys drowned when they reportedly went to learn swimming in a farm pond at Ingali village in Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi district in Karnataka on May 2.

The deceased are Prithviraj Keraba (13), Atharva Soundalage (15) and Samarth Gadkari 13), all residents of Ingali village.

The three boys had gone to a farm pond in their bicycles to learn swimming. As they did not know swimming, they might have drowned, sources said. The owner of the farmland found the deserted bicycles. While searching for the owners of the bicycles, he found bodies of the three boys in the farm pond.

The Ankali police have registered a case.
