Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu laid the foundation stone for internal road laying work at the Mobility Valley Park of Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) in Yenkathla village of Mominpet mandal, Vikarabad district, on Tuesday.
The park will be spread over 862 acres and is expected to generate employment for nearly 10,000 youth, the Minister said. The road works will entail an investment of ₹44.3 crore.
Mr. Sridhar Babu emphasised that industrial development should not be confined to Hyderabad. The government is encouraging industrialists to invest across various regions in the State. It is also committed to supporting growth of micro, small and medium enterprises and had introduced a dedicated policy to strengthen the MSME sector, the Minister’s office said in a release.
In an effort to further industrialise Telangana, there are plans to establish industrial parks adhering to international standards in every constituency. These parks will focus on promoting the establishment of MSMEs, with an emphasis on encouraging young entrepreneurs from Telangana, he said.
The Minister sought to address ongoing misinformation campaigns against the government. Though many industrialists were evincing interest to invest in Telangana, some vested interests were deliberately spreading false propaganda. He urged such elements to refrain from obstructing the State’s progress.
