Teen ends life after exam setback


Allegedly distressed over failing his intermediate examination, a 17-year-old boy ended his life at his residence in Keshampet on Monday (April 28) night.

The deceased, identified as 17-year-old A. Shiva, was a first-year student enrolled in an electronics vocational course at an Industrial Training Institute (ITI). According to police, Shiva had been stressed after receiving his results, which showed he had not passed in two subjects. On Monday evening, when his family members were out, Shiva ended his life.

A case was booked and investigation is under way.
