Centre signs deal with Rapido to provide employment, set to create 50 lakh jobs


In a major boost to employment, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Career Service (NCS) and Rapido on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 to create around 50 lakh job opportunities in the upcoming years.

“Through this agreement, around 5 million jobs will be made available on the NCS portal over the next one and a half years, benefiting more than 5 crore job seekers registered on the NCS portal,” Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said.

The minister also emphasised that employment opportunities are increasing under the Modi government.

 

Recently, the government also signed a deal with Swiggy, an e-commerce platform, for the same purpose on Tuesday, April 15.
