The Mediation Association of India (MAI), a pioneering initiative envisioned by the Attorney General of India R. Venkataramani, is set to hold an all–India conference for judges and Advocate Generals in Delhi on May 3, 2025.
The conference will be attended by 15 Chief Justices of various High Courts’, as well as Advocate Generals of 12 different states, said Mr. Venkataramani while speaking to the media on Tuesday (April 29, 2025).
The conference aims to institutionalize and promote mediation as a primary mode of dispute and conflict resolution across the country, the Attorney General added. Two judges from the Supreme Court of Nepal will also be participating in the conference, which will be inaugurated by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
