Stalin shakes hands with R.B. Udhayakumar, Panneerselvam

After Chief Minister M.K. Stalin completed his reply to the demand for grants for police department, AIADMK’s deputy floor leader R.B. Udhayakumar objected to the CM’s remarks that the administration moved very slow during the previous AIADMK regime.

When Mr. Udhayakumar objected, Mr. Stalin maintained that it was not an unparliamentary word and further said: “If the word bothers you so much, we can change it to ‘crawl’. There is nothing wrong in it. A baby crawls.”

The AIADMK legislator objected to that too, but the Chair maintained that it was not an unparliamentary word.

After the House was adjourned sine die, Mr. Stalin walked up to the seats of the opposition and greeted legislators from all parties. The CM shook hands with AIADMK’s deputy floor leader R.B. Udhayakumar, former CM O. Panneerselvam, Congress’ S. Rajesh Kumar and K. Selvaperunthagai, PMK’s G.K. Mani, VCK’s M. Sinthanai Selvan, CPI (M)‘s V.P. Nagaimaali, Panruti MLA T. Velmurugan among others.
