Indus Towers to reward its shareholders today; stock trades flat


Indus Towers share price, Indus Towers board meeting: Telecom infra major Indus Towers’ board meeting is scheduled later today (April 30, 2025). Ahead of the board meeting, the company’s shares traded flat with a positive bias at Rs 403.1, up 0.11 per cent or Rs 0.45 apiece on the BSE.

“This is to inform you that the Board of Directors, at its meeting scheduled on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, shall, inter-alia, consider viable options and strategies for enhancing shareholder returns including through buy back, bonus by way of shares and/or debentures or dividend or any other permissible mode or instrument or any combination thereof,” said the company in its filing with the exchanges.

In its upcoming board meeting today, the company will explore ways of maximising shareholders’ return either by way of share buyback, bonus or dividend or or any other permissible mode or instrument or any combination thereof.

Alongsise, the company will also report its March quarter as well as full-year results.

Indus Towers dividend, share buyback and bonus history

Since June 2013, the tower company has announced as many as 16 dividends, as per the Trendlyne data. Last, the company announced an interim dividend amounting to Rs 11 in 2022.

The company announced a share buyback via the tender offer route in 2024 to repurchase a maximum of 56.77 million shares at Rs 465 per share. Generally, the buyback offer is made to distribute the company’s surplus cash to its shareholders or investors.

Before this the company announced yet another buyback in the year 2016.

Nonetheless, if the company announces a bonus share issuance- it will be the first such instance for the company.

Indus Towers share price performance

As against Nifty’s 1-year return of 7.7 per cent, the stock in the last one-year has gained 14 per cent. Furthermore, over a 3-year period, the stock has delivered 93 per cent return.
