The body of a woman aged around 30 years was found with multiple injury marks in Telecom Layout of Chikkajala on Wednesday.
The Chikkajala police said that the deceased is suspected to be of African origin. They said that the victim might have been murdered, and the body dumped at an isolated place. The police have registered a case of suspicious death.
Passers-by who noticed the body alerted the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem, the police said.
The police said they are verifying the CCTV camera footage in and around the area.
Efforts are also under way to ascertain the identity of the deceased, they added.
