Sharana philosophy is the cure for all ills of society, says Shivaraj Tangadagi

Some BJP leaders are spreading lies against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by twisting his anti-war statements, Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi said in Kudala Sangama on Wednesday.

“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trying to follow the philosophy of Basavanna and Sharanas in word and deed. He favours peace, stability and all-round progress. It is in this context that he made his statement against war. But some BJP leaders are trying to spread lies against him and engage in propaganda. They are questioning his patriotism. This is condemnable,” he said.

“However, it does not affect the Chief Minister at all. He needs no lessons on patriotism and self-respect. He knows the designs of such vested interests who are spoiling the minds of the youth. We need to protect them from propaganda. All of us should stay away from Manuvadi forces that are damaging the fabric of society,” the Minister said.

Mr. Tangadagi said that Sharana philosophy is the cure for all ills of society. “If we properly implement Basavanna’s philosophy, all the problems of India will disappear. We need to understand, follow it and spread the good word,” he said.
