Hemavathi, a 16-year-old from Doddalballapur and a student of Sparsha Trust, has scored 91.84% in the SSLC exam-1, overcoming several challenges. Her father passed away recently and her mother is a domestic help.
“My teacher from school, Sonia ma’am, connected me to Sparsha Trust,” said Hemavathi, who has been receiving education and mentorship from the organisation for the past four years.
Hemavathi recalls not being able to read or write when she first joined Sparsha.
“Despite personal hardships, she has remained focused and compassionate. She inspires everyone around her,” said one of Hemavathi’s mentors from Sparsha.
As she prepares to enter the next phase of her education, Hemavathi remains grounded but hopeful. “I want to become a doctor so I can help people who are suffering,” she said.
