A 40-year-old man from Jharkhand died after he accidentally fell while attempting to board a moving train at Secunderabad Railway Station on Friday (May 2, 2025).
The deceased, identified as Pavan Kumar, a resident of Sonpurwa in Garhwa district, was trying to board Danapur Express from platform number 8 when he lost his balance and fell into the gap between the track and the platform. The police said that he fell down from the train when he was boarding from the Hyderabad-end of the platform, beside the foot overbridge.
Alerted by a call, the officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Secunderabad reached the spot and pulled him out. He was immediately shifted to Gandhi Hospital where duty doctors declared the victim dead.
The body was sent for postmortem examination. Authorities said that the body will be handed over to the deceased’s family following the completion of medico-legal formalities. A case was booked and investigation is underway.
