Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken several stern measures following the terrorist attack on tourists at Pahalgam in Kashmir, says former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda.

Speaking after inaugurating a temple at Dyapalapura village in Hassan taluk on Sunday, Mr. Gowda said that the terrorists killed innocent tourists in Kashmir, a place known as the “heaven on earth”.

Following the terror attack, the Prime Minister announced that he would not let the perpetrators go free and that he would punish them, said Mr. Gowda.

“The entire nation stands with the Prime Minister. All political parties have stated that they stand with Mr. Modi and support his decisions,” Mr. Gowda said.

Mr. Gowda said the Prime Minister had also cancelled his trip to Russia and stopped Indian exports to Pakistan. “He [Mr. Modi] has taken tough measures. Every citizen of the country should stand with the Prime Minister,” Mr. Gowda stated.

Former Minister H.D. Revanna, Suraj Revanna, MLC, Swaroop Prakash, MLA, and others were present at the programme.
