Coal India declares final dividend of Rs 5.15/share for FY25


State-run mining giant Coal India Limited (CIL) on Wednesday declared a final dividend of ₹5.15 per share for the financial year 2024-25.

The Board approved the dividend in a meeting held on May 7, 2025.

Dividend payment date details

According to the company, the dividend amount will be paid within 30 days from the date of its declaration at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The PSU also clarified that the record date for determining eligible shareholders will be announced in due course.

Coal India Q4 Results: Net profit at Rs 9,604 crore

The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 9,604 crore for the March quarter of the financial year FY24-25, up 10.74 per cent from Rs 8,672 crore in the same period last year.

However, revenue declined to Rs 37,825 crore year-on-year, compared to Rs 38,123 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Operational profit rose to Rs 11,791 crore from Rs 11,387 crore, while margins improved to 31.17 per cent from 29.80 per cent.

Coal India Dividend History

As of now, the company has approved a total of 29 dividends from February 18, 2011.

In the last 12 months, Coal India has announced a dividend of Rs 26.35 per cent.
