Vance said that he and Trump are “encouraging Pakistan and India to de-escalate”, stating that the Indo-Pak matter is “none of our business”, according to excerpts from the interview reported by agencies. He also said that the US will not be getting involved in the middle of the Indo-Pak conflict.
However, the US Vice President expressed America’s concern about a possible nuclear escalation.
“We are concerned about any time nuclear powers colliding and having a major conflict,” he said.
“We want this thing to de-escalate as quickly as possible. We can’t control these countries,” Vance added.
He also said that the United States will be pursuing the matter through diplomatic channels.
