Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Launched: Samsung has expanded its Galaxy S series with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge on Tuesday, May 13. Measuring just 5.8mm thick and housed in a titanium frame, the S25 Edge strikes a new balance of premium, pro-level performance, the company said.
“Galaxy S25 Edge is more than a slim smartphone. The superior engineering that brought this revolutionary smartphone to life illustrates a commitment to overcoming barriers that helps Galaxy deliver truly unexpected premium experiences for people around the world,” said TM Roh, President and Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics.
“S25 Edge not only marks a breakthrough for its category, but it also accelerates important innovation across the mobile industry,” he added.
Here are the 9 key highlights of Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge – a new member of the S series:
1. Display: The phone features a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, vision booster, and adaptive color tone.
2. Design: The phone measures 5.8mm thick, weighs 163 grams and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.
3. Camera: On the back, the smartphone has a dual camera system – 12MP ultra-wide camera and 200 MP wide camera. While on the front, it has a 12MP camera.
4. Variant: The variant options of Galaxy S25 Edge are – 12 + 512 GB and 12 + 256 GB.
5. Battery Capacity: The Galaxy S25 Edge packs a 3,900mAh battery that supports up to 25W charging.
6. Colour: Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in three colour options including Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue.
7. Processor: The Galaxy S25 Edge is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, the same processor used across all Galaxy S25 series devices globally. It comes with One UI 7.0, based on Android 15, pre-installed.
8. Cooling: It also features a redesigned vapor chamber for consistent heat dissipation, the company claims in the official release.
9. IP Rating: It has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
