ABC Fitness innovation centre opened in Hyderabad


U.S. technology provider for fitness businesses globally ABC Fitness has opened its first India innovation hub in Hyderabad that will focus on software and product development and create 200 tech jobs in the first year.

“The move marks a significant step in expanding the company’s global capabilities, aimed at accelerating product innovation, building a world-class technology team and enhancing development capacity in India’s emerging tech city,” the firm said on Wednesday (April 23, 2025).

The facility will play a crucial role in driving customer-centric solutions, enhancing speed to market and developing technologies that better serve the evolving needs of the fitness industry. India is also a market where ABC Fitness serves over 20 customers, including local businesses and global franchises.

“The Hyderabad centre is a critical milestone in our global strategy. By investing here, we can accelerate roll-out of AI-driven features, deliver them faster to customers everywhere and strengthen our position…” CEO Bill Davis said.

The company plans to recruit 200 professionals during the first 12  months, including software engineers proficient in various programming languages and frameworks relevant to web and mobile development. Additionally, it is rolling out an AI curriculum as part of its learning and development programme for all employees.

ABC Fitness said the Hyderabad hub over the next five years is expected to significantly scale in team size and responsibilities and play a central role in shaping the company’s technology roadmap and innovation agenda.
