Nifty prediction today – April 25, 2025: On a corrective fall. Wait for more decline to take fresh longs

Nifty 50 is coming down sharply within its 24000-24360 range. The index is currently approaching the lower end of the above-mentioned range. It is currently trading at 24,051, down 0.85 per cent. The advances/declines ratio is at 5:45. This is clearly negative and indicates that more fall could be on the cards during the day.

Nifty 50 outlook

Nifty can fall to 23,850-23,800 on a break below 24,000. This fall could just be a correction within the broad uptrend. Also, we do not expect the index to decline below 23,800. As such the fall to 23,850-23,800 can be a good opportunity to enter the market again. We expect the Nifty to reverse higher from around 23,800 and rise back to 24,300 and higher again.

Nifty 50 futures

The Nifty 50 May futures (24,100) is down about a per cent now. Immediate support is at 24,070. A break below it can take the Nifty 50 futures contract down to 23,900-23,850.

The region around 23,850 is a strong support. A break below 23,850 is less likely. We expect the Nifty 50 May futures contract to reverse higher from around 23,850. Such a bounce can take the Nifty 50 futures contract up to 24,200-24,400 again.

Trade strategy

Market seems to be volatile today. So, we suggest traders to stay out of the market. However, if a fall to 23,900-23,850 is seen today itself, traders can consider taking long positions.

Supports: 24,070, 23,900

Resistances: 24,200, 24,400
