Launching a “high-protein kulfi” at an event in Kolkata on Saturday, India’s largest food and FMCG brand, Amul said it would soon launch other high-protein products like paratha, sandwich, snacks, coffee, among others.
“It is a game changer and a high protein product for the masses. Every high protein mango flavoured kulfi contains 10 grams of protein with only 57 calories. It is low fat, lactose free, prebiotic, provides 100 million CFU probiotics and has no added sugar. Priced at just ₹40 for a 60 gram pack, it will be soon launched on Amul’s all official quick commerce platforms,” an official release stated here.
Quoting Jayen Mehta, Managing Director, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the statement said that Amul will be coming up with similar high protein products such as paratha, sandwich, snacks, ice cream, coffee, etc. “to ensure that every Indian gets at least 1 gram protein per kilogram of bodyweight every day”.
Amul’s high protein range is available only on Amul’s D2C site shop.amul.com. Launched in 2022, this range comprises India’s first plain lactose free Whey Protein Concentrate with 25 gram protein in a single serve sachet of 32 grams. The brand also sells high-protein paneer with 25 percent protein (₹150 for 205 grams), high protein dahi with 25 gram protein (₹70 for 400 grams), among other products.
Both Amul ice cream and Amul Protein are official partners with KKR this IPL season, the release added.
