Minister for Municipal Administration P. Narayana visited the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Ahmedabad on the first day of his two-day tour of Gujarat on Sunday.
He spoke to the officials there about how GIFT City, spread in 860 acres, had been transformed into the country’s Fintech hub.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Narayana visited the massive statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (the Statue of Unity) at Ekta Nagar in Ahmedabad.
He enquired about the materials used to make the world’s tallest statue and other relevant aspects in order to possibly replicate those construction techniques in setting up towering statues of prominent leaders in Amaravati.
Also, the Minister visited the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology in Ahmedabad.
Mr. Narayana was accompanied by A.P. CRDA commissioner K. Kannababu, Amaravati Development Corporation chairperson D. Lakshmi Parthasarathy and A.P. Greening and Beautification Corporation MD M.K.V. Sreenivasulu.
