In a step towards digital empowerment for exporters in the textile town of Tiruppur, ‘Thunaivan,’ a facilitation portal for exporters was launched on Thursday. This is to simplify and streamline Customs-related procedures and provide end-to-end support for exporters, says a release.

The portal is a collaborative effort between the Apparel Export Promotion Council and the Trichy Preventive Customs Commissionerate. Tailored specifically for Tirupur, the portal is designed to digitally empower exporters and improve ease of doing business, the release said.

Some of the key features of the portal include a user-friendly interface fostering real-time interaction between Customs and exporters; fast-tracked grievance redressal and issue resolution mechanisms; promotes transparency, accessibility, and operational efficiency and enhances public-private partnership in trade facilitation, the release said.
