Air India has announced the launch of non-stop flights between Delhi and Manila starting October 1, 2025. The move makes Air India the only airline to provide direct air connectivity between India and the Philippines, further strengthening bilateral ties in tourism, trade, and culture.
The new service will operate five times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays — using the Airbus A321neo aircraft. Passengers will have the option to travel in Business Class, Premium Economy, or Economy, as part of the carrier’s three-class configuration.
The announcement comes at an opportune time, as the Philippines recently waived visa requirements for Indian tourists for stays up to 14 days. This policy shift is expected to encourage Indian travellers to explore the country’s famous destinations such as Boracay, Palawan, and Cebu.
Commenting on the development, Campbell Wilson, CEO & MD of Air India, said, “The introduction of our Delhi-Manila route is yet another step in our mission to connect India with more of the world, non-stop. As outbound travel from India grows at an unprecedented pace, the new entry rules for Indian tourists are a shot in the arm to boost tourism to the Philippines.”
With over 7,000 islands and a diverse mix of cultural and natural attractions, the Philippines is increasingly becoming a favoured destination for Indian tourists. The airline also highlighted that the route will support growing bilateral trade, which reached USD 3.53 billion in 2023-24 — nearly double from USD 1.89 billion in 2015-16, according to the Indian Embassy in Manila.
In addition to direct service, the route provides one-stop connectivity from Europe via Delhi, enhancing travel options for global passengers.
Bookings for the new Delhi-Manila flights are now open on Air India’s official website, mobile app, ticketing offices, customer service centres, and through travel agents.
