Following the recent Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, the airline on Thursday announced special relief flights to help the families of passengers and staff reach the city.
Two flights will depart tonight, one from Delhi and one from Mumbai, both scheduled to leave at 11:00 pm on 12 June. Whilel, return flights from Ahmedabad are planned for early morning on 13 June.
According to the airline, Flight IX1555 will depart from Delhi to Ahmedabad at 11:00 PM, and the return flight IX1556 from Ahmedabad to Delhi is scheduled for 1:10 AM on 13 June.
Similarly, Flight AI1402 will leave Mumbai for Ahmedabad at 11:00 PM, with the return flight AI1409 departing Ahmedabad for Mumbai at 1:15 AM on 13 June.
These flights are specifically meant to support the families of those impacted by the incident.
The airline company also said that for assistance, families in Delhi and Mumbai can contact the airline hotline at 1800 5691 444. International travelers who wish to travel can call +91 8062779200.”
To support the affected families, Tata Group has declared a financial assistance of Rs 1 crore for the family of each person who lost their life in the tragedy.
The group will also cover all medical expenses for the injured and ensure they receive the necessary care and support.
Moreover, Tata Group will contribute to the development of the B J Medical College hostel.
