Eligibility for Ayushman Bharat Card
A person who is 70 years old or above can get this Ayushman Vay Vandana Card through the Ayushman App, regardless of economic status. e-KYC is mandatory to get this medical card. Senior citizens only need an Aadhaar card to enroll for this scheme.
The good thing about the Ayushman Card is that if both parents are 70 or above, you don’t need to enroll them separately. If you have already enrolled one family member, then you just need to add more eligible people.
Ayushman Vay Vandana Scheme in Delhi
Around a month ago, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta introduced he Ayushman Vay Vandana scheme in Delhi for senior citizens aged 70 or above. Under this scheme, Delhi-based senior citizens can get free treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh. This coverage combines Rs 5lakh from the central government’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) with an additional ₹5 lakh provided by the Delhi government.
How to register for the Ayushman Bharat Card
Here is a step-by-step guide to registering for the Ayushman Bharat Card.
-First of all, download the Ayushman App.
-Log in as an operator.
-Add your mobile number, input the captcha and complete authentication.
-Enter the OTP, then click login.
-Give the device’s location access.
-Now add the beneficiary’s information like state and Aadhaar details.
-If no beneficiary is found, proceed with the eKYC process. Agree to the OTP.
-Provide a declaration and fill in the necessary fields.
– Now add the beneficiary’s mobile number and the OTP.
– Add all required details, including category and PIN code.
– Add information for family members and proceed with submission.
– Upon completion of e-KYC, you will receive approval and be able to download the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card.
Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY was started on September 23, 2018, by the government. The scheme was implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA), which provides cashless treatment in secondary and tertiary-both public and empanelled private hospitals, across the country.
