Leaders of the Andhra Pradesh BC Sankshema Sangam were taken into preventive custody by the police on Sunday, when they tried to take out a rally demanding the government take up BC Castes Census in the city.

Police said: “No permission was given for the rally proposed by the AP BC Sankshema Sangam.”

Sangam state president Kesina Shankar Rao along with others were taken into custody.
