Bengaluru- based Defence PSU Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has handed over a dividend cheque of ₹45 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024–25.
Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of BEML, handed over the cheque to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Monday, in the presence of Sanjiv Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), and other senior officials of the Ministry of Defence.
The Board of Directors of the company, in a recently held meeting, declared a second interim dividend of ₹15 per equity share of face value ₹10. This follows an earlier interim dividend of ₹5 per share declared earlier in the fiscal, bringing the total interim dividend to ₹20 per share for FY25.
BEML has reported a net profit of ₹288 crore, up by a 12 per cent increase over the ₹257 crore recorded in the same period last year. Profit before tax increased by 14 per cent to ₹395 crore, up from ₹348 crore in Q4 FY24, while revenue from operations widened to ₹1,653 crore from ₹1,514 crore. EBITDA grew by 14 per cent to ₹427 crore compared with ₹375 crore in the previous fiscal’s fourth quarter.
