
BJP ex-district President Puppala Srinatha Reddy and district Secretary G. Lakshman Rao, submit a representation to Kadapa district Collector Sridhar Cherukuri on Friday, requesting the district administration to official monitor the Brahmamgari Gurupooja Aradhana Utsavam.

The Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy Gurupooja Aradhana Utsavam, at the famed Brahmamgari Matham, is scheduled to be conducted from May 4 to 9.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) former district President Puppala Srinatha Reddy and district Secretary Gadhamsetty Lakshman Rao, along with other members, met with district Collector Sridhar Cherukuri on Friday, and submitted a representation requesting that the district machinery monitor the event. It is alleged that irregularities have been witnessed in the past, prompting the call for stricter monitoring this year.
The BJP leaders accused the Matham in-charge of misappropriation of funds under the guise of providing facilities. They said: “The devotees are charged ₹100 for darshan, ₹200 for tonsuring and ₹50 for using the toilet; but the basic facilities are not even being provided.”
The alleged, that even the chariot decoration are done using the garlands brought by the devotees.
The leaders appealed to the Collector to oversee the proceedings and protect the funds donated by devotees to the Endowments department.
