BJP to field Paka Satyanarayana for Rajya Sabha byelection in Andhra Pradesh


The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to field Paka Venkata Satyanaryana in the ensuing byelection to the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) from Andhra Pradesh, according to BJP national general secretary Arun Singh.

Mr. Satyanarayana has been actively involved in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities since 1976. He served as a BJP Election Manifesto Drafting Committee Member for Andhra Pradesh in 2009. From 2009 to 12, he served as BJP State Prasikshan Vibhag – Co-Convenor for combined Andhra Pradesh. From 2012 to 18, he served as  State Official Spokesperson for combined Andhra Pradesh. He was a member of the election manifesto drafting committee for combined Andhra Pradesh in  2014, and served as the BJP AP vice- president from 2018-21, according to a press release.
