Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the nation at 8 pm on Monday, May 12. Although it could not be ascertained immediately as to what the Prime Minister will focus on in his address, the development comes during a fragile ceasefire situation between India and Pakistan, after Pakistan military’s move to violate a clear understanding arrived at between both sides mere hours after agreeing to cease fire on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Indian and Pakistan DGMOs are set to connect on the same day to review the ceasefire established between the two sides on Pakistan’s request on Saturday.
On May 10, the Pakistani DGMO contacted his Indian counterpart at around 3:35 pm IST to engage in discussions that led to ceasefire.
Originally, the talks between the DGMOs were scheduled to start at 12 noon India time on Monday, but were later postponed.
At the time of publishing this report, the talks are scheduled to take place around 5:30 pm IST, according to sources.
