The Hill Palace police have arrested four private bus employees in connection with an incident in which a woman passenger was reportedly left with a severed finger after getting trapped between two private buses as they allegedly engaged in a reckless chase along the Petta-S.N. Junction stretch in Thripunithura on Thursday evening.
The accused were slapped with non-bailable charges. The buses were headed to Chottanikkara. Reportedly, the buses were so rashly driven that the passengers resorted to screaming and urged the drivers to slow down.
The arrested are Muhammad Ashif, 22, Shyam Unnikrishnan, 32, Muhaibi, 19, and Nikhil Chandran, 37. They were produced before the magistrate and remanded in judicial custody. The police seized both the buses.
