Chennai airport has commissioned key airside upgrades effective Friday to enhance operational efficiency.
Taxiway F has been straightened & renamed Taxiway U, and a new runway holding point has been established as Taxiway A, both aimed at reducing taxi time and runway occupancy, according to a social media post by the Airports Authority of India, Chennai.
The post said that extended and re-oriented cargo stands 7, 8 & 9 have also been commissioned to boost cargo handling capacity.
