Cleanliness drive held at 66 places in Srisailam


A massive cleanliness drive was taken up in Srisailam town on Thursday as part of Swachh Andhra programme.

A rally was taken out from Gangadhara Mandapam to Nandi temple to create awareness on environmental cleanliness and hygiene. The cleanliness drive was held at 66 places after dividing the town into 11 sectors and six zones. A senior officer was appointed as the supervising officer for every unit and special duties were allocated to the temple staff in the zones to monitor the cleanliness drive.

Temple staff, employees and Siva Sevaks (volunteers) took part in the drive taken up at Gangadhara Mandapam to Nandi temple road, Alankareswara Temple, darshan queue complexes, donation counters, Annaprasadam complex, CRO office, Ganga Gowri Sadan, Tourist bus stand, central parking area and other places.
