A constable on duty at Perupalem beach foiled a man’s attempt to end his life. The incident occurred at Perupalem beach near Mogalturu in West Godavari district on Tuesday.
West Godavari SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi said: “K. Chandrayya, a native of Mogalturu mandal, attempted to end his life due to personal problems. We received a call from his family through the helpline number 112. By 7.30 p.m., we traced him at Perupalem beach. Constable P. Satyanarayana, who was on duty at the beach, was alerted and rushed to Mr. Chandrayya, foiling his bid to end his life.”
On Wednesday, Mr. Adnan Nayeem Asmi felicitated Mogalturu sub-inspector G. Srinivas and constable Mr. Satyanarayana for their timely efforts.
