Light rain expected in Delhi: IMD
IMD predicts a temporary break from the heat beginning Thursday night, with light showers and winds of up to 60 km/h predicted to blow across Delhi as the temperature continues to rise. By Friday, this might lower the temperature by 4 to 5°C.
“With temperatures exceeding 44.9°C in Hisar, Sirsa, Rohtak, and Ayanagar, heatwave conditions were confirmed over the Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi subdivision, the second straight day of such conditions,” said IMD scientist Krishna Mishra.
IMD has issued an orange alert for Tuesday and Wednesday in Delhi and warned of heatwave conditions in isolated areas.

The AQI in Delhi was recorded at 220 at 8 AM today. It was 219 on June 9, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data.
