DIAL terminates association with Çelebi Airport in compliance with BCAS directive

In adherence to a directive from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has ended its association with Çelebi Airport Services and Çelebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

The security clearance for Çelebi entities was revoked on national security grounds.

Çelebi Airport Services had been overseeing ground handling operations, while Çelebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management was responsible for managing the cargo terminal.

Following the termination of services, DIAL has initiated a seamless transition plan to maintain uninterrupted airport operations and safeguard employee interests.

To ensure operational continuity, DIAL is coordinating with its existing ground handling partners—AISATS and Bird Group.

In the cargo domain, the airport operator is in the process of onboarding a pre-approved cargo service provider to sustain smooth logistics and freight handling at the busiest airport of India.

DIAL has also confirmed that all current employees engaged with the Çelebi entities at IGIA will be absorbed by the new service providers.

In a statement, a DIAL spokesperson reassured stakeholders that we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of service and efficiency. Every measure is being taken to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted transition of ground handling and cargo operations. Our top priority remains the welfare of our employees and the experience of passengers, airlines, and cargo partners.”

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of Adani Airport Holdings said that our association with DragonPass, which provided access to airport lounges, has been terminated with immediate effect.

“DragonPass customers will no longer have access to lounges at Adani-managed airports. This change will have no impact on the airport lounge and travel experience for other customers,” the spokesperson added.
