Domestic GDP growth was estimated at 7.4 per cent in the January-March period over the corresponding period a year ago, according to official data released on Friday.
The latest GDP reading comes days ahead of a scheduled bi-monthly review by the RBI Governor-led Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
