A 15-year-old girl was killed when she was struck by lightning in Khanagaon village in Belagavi district on Wednesday.
Atsa Jamadar had gone to work in the fields with her mother. She was returning home when she was caught in a storm. She sought shelter under a tree but was struck by lightning.
She suffered severe burns and died on the spot. A case has been registered.
