The Gnanam School of Business (GSB), a B-school located in Sengipatti, near Thanjavur town, has been conferred autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Disclosing this in an official release, GSB Director S.P.S. Arul Doss said that it was a significant milestone in the history of the institution. The conferment of autonomous status would result in GSB designing its curriculum, introduce new-age courses, conduct independent assessments, and award degrees. The autonomy empowers the institution to be more responsive to industry trends and global business challenges, he said.
