Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced in the Assembly on Friday that the government would take steps to take in all eligible beneficiaries left out of Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam.
A monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 is being given to nearly 1.14 crore women under the scheme. However, several requests have been made to the government to include those who left out of the scheme.
“Under the ‘Makkaludan Mudhalvar’ scheme, we are continuously acting on the petitions received from members of the public. Starting from June, we will commence the fourth phase of the scheme and camps will be conducted at 9,000 locations. Then, eligible beneficiaries who have been left out of Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam will definitely be taken in,” he added.
