J. Sai Chaitanya, son of J. Govindu, a head constable in Dichpally, Nizamabad, secured 68th rank in the Civil Services examinations. Sai Chaitanya’s success was celebrated at a ceremony held at the Director General of Police (DGP) office on Thursday, where DGP Jitender congratulated him and two other candidates from police families for their outstanding achievements.
Senior police officials including Additional DGP of Law and Order Mahesh M Bhagwat, CID DG Shikha Goel, Additional DGP Anil Kumar, and IGPs M. Ramesh and M. Srinivas, were also present. In addition to Sai Chaitanya, A. Kaushik Narasimha, who secured the 225th rank, and T. Surya Teja, who achieved the 779th rank, were also recognised for their success. Kaushik Narasimha’s father, A. Venugopal, works as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the DGP office, while Surya Teja’s father, T. Karunakar, serves as Chief Marshal in the State Assembly.
DGP Jitender expressed his pride in the success of these candidates, all of whom come from families deeply involved in police service. He encouraged them to use their positions in the Civil Services to contribute to society in meaningful ways.
Additional DGP Mahesh M Bhagwat, who served as a mentor to the three candidates, shared his happiness over their accomplishments. He fondly recalled working with J. Govindu when he was the Superintendent of Police in Adilabad, and expressed his pride in seeing his son, Sai Chaitanya, succeed.
Mr. Bhagwat also mentioned mentoring both Sai Chaitanya and Surya Teja the previous year, when they were selected for the Indian Forest Service before, later succeeding in the Civil Services exams.
