Heart surgeries performed on 15 children at Andhra Hospitals

A team of paediatric cardiologists performed heart surgeries on 15 children at Heart and Brain Andhra Hospitals, said cardiac surgeon, Dr. Nageswara Rao.

The surgeries were conducted from April 21 to 25, in association with Healing Little Hearts, UK Charity, Andhra Mother and Child Foundation and Mahesh Babu Foundation, said cardiologists Dr. Ramesh and Dr. Raghuram, at a press conference on Friday.

“Doctors at the paediatric intensive care unit of the Andhra Hospitals have performed about 600 heart surgeries for children over the past few years,” said chief of children services and director of the hospital, Dr. P.V. Rama Rao.
