A 1991 batch IAS officer, K. Ramakrishna Rao, took charge as Chief Secretary of Telangana on Wednesday (April 30, 2025). He was the seventh officer to assume the top post. Rajiv Sharma was the first Chief Secretary of the youngest State. He was succeeded by Pradeep Chandra, followed by S.P. Singh, S.K. Joshi,Somesh Kumar, A. Santhi Kumari – who retired on April 30, 2025.
