Thanya R.N. of BKSVB High School and Dhanush S. of Marimallappa’s High School, both from Mysuru, are among the toppers in the SSLC examinations in Karnataka, the results of which were announced on May 2.
Both students achieved a perfect score of 625 out of 625, bringing immense pride to their families, and schools.
As news of their achievement spread, teachers, classmates, and well-wishers showered the toppers with congratulatory messages. The proud parents were overwhelmed with calls and messages celebrating their children’s success.
The management of both schools expressed joy over the results, saying they had anticipated strong performances from their students.
Thanya’s mother shared that her daughter aspires to become a doctor and has chosen the science stream in pre-university to pursue her goal.

Dhanush’s father recounted a moment of concern when his son fell ill just a day before the science exam. “We were very anxious, but he showed great determination by writing the exam despite his condition and securing full marks,” he said.
Despite the individual successes, Mysuru district ranked 15th in Karnataka with an overall pass percentage of 68.39%. Out of 35,264 students, who appeared for the exam, 24,116 passed.
