Kawasaki Versys X-300 returns to India at Rs. 3.80 lakh; price, features all details inside

Kawasaki Versys X-300: Kawasaki has brought back the Versys-X 300 to the Indian market, priced at Rs. 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s a fresh choice for riders who want a small adventure bike but with a bit of style and premium feel.

The bike takes design cues from Kawasaki’s bigger Versys models and packs a 296cc parallel-twin engine, borrowed from the Ninja 300. This engine makes 38.5bhp and 26.1Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The result is a smooth, lively ride that works well for city commuting as well as weekend trips.

That said, the adventure bike segment in India is pretty crowded. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure offer bigger engines and some extra features that the Versys-X 300 doesn’t have. For example, Kawasaki’s bike uses wire-spoke wheels that aren’t tubeless, while competitors come with tubeless tires as standard or optional. The bike weighs 184kg and has 180mm of ground clearance, which should be enough for most road and light off-road conditions.

Although Kawasaki’s pricing is in line with its brand image, the Versys-X 300 is nearly Rs. 1 lakh more expensive than some rivals. That might make some buyers think twice, especially if they’re looking for more features for their money.

All in all, the Versys-X 300 is a solid option for those who like Kawasaki’s style and the feel of a parallel-twin engine. It’s a bike with personality and good performance, but buyers should consider what matters most to them before deciding.
