Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy has asked the officials concerned to ensure that the ongoing modernisation works at Khammam railway station are completed in an expeditious manner.
He inspected the progress of the ongoing civil works for the installation of new escalators among other modernisation works at the railway station on Tuesday.
He wanted the ongoing redevelopment works to be completed at the earliest without delay to upgrade the facilities and improve passenger amenities.
The major works taken up under the redevelopment project at Khammam railway station include improvement of the station building facade, air-conditioned waiting rooms and other modern passenger amenities.
