A mother and her three daughters were found hanging in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi on Saturday morning, the police said.
The 30-year-old woman and her three minor daughters, aged 13, 11, and 8 years, were found hanging from the ceiling. The woman’s husband found the bodies after he returned from work in the morning, according to a report by news agency PTI.
The police are probing all angles in the case, including suicide.
“A mother and three girls were found dead inside a house in Kamatghar area of Thane district. We are investigating the matter to figure out whether the woman and her daughters committed suicide together or whether she killed the girls before hanging herself,” senior police officer Krishnadev Kharade said.
The police have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation into the matter, PTI report said.
