Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at five locations in Hyderabad in connection with its investigation into alleged grabbing of Bhoodan land in Maheshwaram.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday (April 28, 2025) raided five locations across Hyderabad, ramping up its investigation into the alleged grabbing of Bhoodan lands in Maheshwaram.
The ED probe follows allegations that Bhoodan land, meant for the poor under the Bhoodan Yagna movement, was illegally sold using forged documents and shady transactions.
The raids were carried out at the properties — linked to those allegedly involved in the illegal sale of government allotted Bhoodan lands — including farmhouses and real estate assets in Yakutpura.
Senior IAS officer Amoy Kumar was earlier summoned by the ED.The case traces back to March 2023, when Mehdipatnam resident Dastagir Shareef filed a complaint, leading to an FIR against Maheshwaram MRO and others. The accused list includes land dealers, real estate players like Kondapalli Sridhar Reddy of EIPL Constructions, and government officials.
